Meet the People Behind Baughman Accounting
Built on experience, strong relationships, and a genuine understanding of the businesses we serve.

Mack Baughman
Mack works closely with small business owners and nonprofit organizations, helping them navigate the accounting and tax side of their operations. His background in public accounting, tax, audit, consulting, and business development gives him a well-rounded perspective on the financial challenges organizations face.
Mack began his career in public accounting with CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen), where he specialized in audits of employee benefit plans and nonprofit organizations. He later worked with a nonprofit organization as a business and tax advisor, expanding his experience beyond audit and giving him the opportunity to work directly with small businesses on their accounting, tax, and business needs.
Today, Mack especially enjoys working with contractors, trades, and other locally owned businesses. Growing up around a family-owned business gave him firsthand insight into what it takes to run a business and an appreciation for the everyday decisions owners face—from managing cash flow and equipment investments to planning for taxes and future growth.
Mack's approach is practical and straightforward. He brings experience from both sides of the accounting relationship—working in public accounting as an auditor and advisor, as well as working within the organizations he now serves. He takes the time to understand how each client's business or organization actually operates, explain the numbers in plain language, and provide guidance clients can use to make informed decisions.
A graduate of UW–Eau Claire with degrees in Accounting and Information Systems, Mack is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Wisconsin.
Pam Baughman
Pam brings decades of accounting, finance, and consulting experience to Baughman Accounting, with a career that has taken her from public accounting at Ernst & Young to corporate finance, small business consulting, and the classroom.
After beginning her career in the Audit Department at Ernst & Young in Minneapolis, Pam returned to Wisconsin and held positions as a Controller and Senior Financial Analyst in the manufacturing industry. She later spent much of her professional career as a small business consultant, helping business owners and entrepreneurs strengthen their financial management, improve internal processes, and better understand what their financial results are telling them about their businesses.
Since 2016, Pam has also been a faculty member at UW–Eau Claire, teaching accounting, auditing, finance, entrepreneurship, and financial modeling at both the undergraduate and MBA levels. She holds both an undergraduate degree in accounting and an MBA from UW–Eau Claire and was a Certified Public Accountant.
Throughout her career, Pam has developed a talent for taking complex financial information and making it practical and understandable. At Baughman Accounting, she enjoys working alongside business owners, nonprofit leaders, municipalities, and organizations to understand how they operate, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide the financial insight they need to make confident decisions.
For Pam, good accounting is more than producing financial statements. Pam believes the numbers tell the story of a business. Her goal is to help clients understand that story—and use it to make better decisions.
Outside of work, Pam and her husband, Ritch, live on Lake Holcombe. They have five adult children, and while Pam has had many roles throughout her career, her favorites are being a mom and grandma.
